On 28th January, the Waldersey Farms team visited British Sugar’s largest sugar beet factory in Wissington where 74,000 tons of sugar beet grown on the farm ends up each year. Agriculture Manager Sam Telling led us through the processing plant, showing us exactly what happens after our beet leaves the farm gate. The day finished with some friendly competition on the go-kart track, where our assistant farm manager Neill Craig beat arable machinery operators Andrew Kinnaird and Iain Starling to claim first place.
